July 2018

July = June + less money + more partying + moving out. Aka every bit of the shit show that June was but with a tasteful hint of trash class sprinkled into the mix. With the planets in retrograde, I proceeded to build up a stash of good energy by helping friends move into their new place, telling Becky her one night stand wasn't that ugly, sharing VIP tickets to the Tory Lanez concert, and changing my dating status to "Busy. Venmo Meihem96 for inquiries" (which sadly didn't relieve me of any financial obligations so plz share & follow my blog).

ဖ What set this apart from the other months was that July, I decided to work at a strip club - which lasted all of 24 hours before I decided that it wasn't the right fit for me. In addition, my road to Minimalism was at an all-time high as I prepared to move out of my apartment. I was throwing shit out left & right and either gifting things to my borderline hoarder friends to add to their mess of a collection - yes Becky only needed 1 more used eyelash to complete her set - or adding it to the Good Will stockpile.

ဖ I also took a break from the mess that it the dating world and instead focused my time on my non-existent pet. It didn't help that the trend "# days without sex" was spreading like wildfire to remind me of the purgatory I put myself through but on the bright side the creativity of each one was satisfying in its own way. That, along with the ongoing tweets about how men really ain't shit, helped to ease my suffering.

ဖ The weekends sped by as I filled them with salsa night, friends, convincing myself that 4 hours of sleep is acceptable and that excessive amounts of fast food won't make me fat. One particular weekend was spent celebrating the marriage of one of my oldest friends. I have to admit, it was all very nostalgic as I watched her walk down the aisle in the church we would attend together as children. The vaulted ceilings and adorned church pews lit up as sunlight shone in from the large windows lining the walls. It's crazy to think that, in what felt like a blink of an eye, we went from playing in the mud to starting new beginnings.

But what is life without new beginnings? As she said "I do" to her new husband, I said "I do" a new beginning of my own.
