Where Has the Time Gone?
It has been some time, 7 months to be exact, that I have written. Even though my plans to keep up with this blog and my travel one have been unsuccessful thus far, I still like to write when I remember.
For about 6 months, I have been abroad: first traveling Europe with my parents for 2 weeks and then to Madrid where I began my studies for a Masters in Business Protocol, Tourism, and Events Management. Since my time in Spain, I have traveled to new countries in cities in Europe, made amazing friendships, and created some unforgettable memories.
Now being over halfway through, the world has come to a halt as the Coronavirus has emerged and spread. What is most amazing about this new disease though is not the people who become sick but the way people have become affected and respond to the notion of the sickness existing. I will say it is sad to see the selfishness within people and the huge gap between the rich and those who are not but there are many positive glimmers of hope of the kindness within humanity at the same time.
Anyway, to return to a more positive note: There are many things in which I'd like to update about my life.

Other Updates
TroopTravel internship - hopefully turning to a FT position soon! It's been amazing working with this startup. I am so lucky to have had this experience with them and am so hopeful to the future with this company.
School - Pretty disappointing in terms of rigor which isn't the worst, considering I came to Spain because my heart missed the country. But great friends have been made. The class is a pretty close group all things considered.
Palencia - After 6 long years, I returned to Palencia to spend the afternoon with my old host family. I can't believe how much time has passed and it was surreal being back where my love for Spain had blossomed.
Hawaii - Next stop, Hawaii! Wyatt and I will be moving to the Oahu area in June (hopefully) for him to start a new position there. Super proud of him and all his accomplishments
New Friends
Fiona - France | Friend soulmate to say the least. Always down to eat, workout, explore new places, walk, and just talk. My experience in Madrid would not be the same without her.
Eloy: Spain | With an initial language barrier as we both weren't so good at speaking each other's languages, our friendship has become one of my favorites. Through a somewhat shambly night, the best friendship was started. Movie nights, dinners, parties, talks and so much more have become some of the greatest memories.
Gaby - Ecuador | My sweet Gaby! What a selfless and kind individual with an affinity for tequila and talent in Lyra. As my first friend from class, she is so loved by me!
Malina: Romania | One of the baddest bitches I know. A ruthless energy but a kind and sensitive heart. I absolutely love any time I spend with her.
Edwin - Venezuela | My heart. Edwin is just someone everyone loves. I love everything about him from his humor to his hard work ethic. From the start it was fate.
David: California | My other half. The best of the best date nights with David in which we eat copious amounts of food and get unintentionally lost in the city that we've been living in for nearly 6 months. Endless laughs and the inability to drink water because of them.
Susanna: Italy | The sweetest roommate I have ever had. Quiet and shy at first but soon our daily kitchen talks turned into a beautiful friendship. I miss her dearly.
Vesna: Serbia/Germany | My idol. She never ceases to make me laugh with her mannerism and "life choices". I was so lucky to have lived with her upon first arriving to Spain.
xoxo
