August 2019

By now, I'm pretty sure the actual numbers of those reading this are next to nothing but that's also due in part to the fact I haven't written in over 5 months. I can't believe so much time has passed. The past 5 months have been an absolute whirlwind.
At this point in my life, I am enjoying my last 3 weeks in Richmond. After a quick turn of events, I decided to apply for graduate school in Madrid. A combination of an end of a "relationship" and feeling lost at my job led me to leaving the country once again. I am so excited for what the next year will bring. It has felt like a life time since I've traveled and been able to stay long enough to feel settled.

But to recap April - August:
  • May I left Intelliware. I was sad to leave but I knew I wasn't the best fit for the position. They were great with the off boarding process and I started working as a server at Sine's downtown right after. I guess my picturesque college summer came to life, just 2 years late, as I spent 2 months working late night shifts and either coming out with good money or none from the day. My coworkers were great but once the college kids left, the money wasn't enough for the hours worked & the way management arranged us.

  • My birthday was the best one yet. It was so great to be surrounded by my friends and the get togethers we have are always such a great time. A group of us went to the VMFA for happy hour, my house, and then out to the bars for the remainder of the night.
  • July I started as a Community Manager for a co-working space in Midlothian. The job has been really laid back and has allowed me to get a lot of stuff done regarding preparing for Spain and also starting up my new travel blog. It's been a roller coaster of debating if I'll ever be good enough to make a mark as a travel blogger and also thinking I should just enjoy life and not worry about sharing/oversharing my trips but if anything, I want to have this blog for myself to look back.
  • I just got back from Austin Texas with Wyatt. Shortly after I decided to return to Spain, I accidentally met an amazing man. We have been together now for nearly 5 months, half of which has been long distance. Our short vacation together the past 10 days was fantastic and I look forward to where the next coming months will lead us.
  • Before my Grad school program starts, I'll be traveling to at least 10 different cities in 4 countries. It's all been so exciting planning each trip out and I'm super excited for the memories to be made.

It is absolutely crazy to think how fast time has flown by. I hope to update my personal blog more often so I can have more to look back on later. Although there have been a few low's, the high's have been worth it.

xoxo
Lianna
