October

Wow. October has been absolutely monumental. Each month, I make a list of events and experiences to cover and October's list blew me away. From birthdays to fairs to Halloween festivities, this month has been filled with new adventures with the best of people. It didn't help that at the beginning of the month I found a Fall Bucket List & spent the entirety of October jam packed.

ဖ Go to a Festival - Luckily for me, Richmond held a bunch of festivals during October. With a spontaneous hair color change, I started off the month at Virginia's Folk Festival and mid way through the month went to the Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival.

ဖ Pumpkin Patch/ Carving Pumpkins - God bless the friends who watched me tear through the acres of pumpkins. After a thorough search and plenty of tripping, falling, sprint, romping through the patch, I found my perfect pumpkin. Being artistically challenged and easily confused, I almost carved out a giant hole in my pumpkin where the outline was supposed to be and dumped too much liquor into my apple cider despite multiple warnings that a little bit left a strong taste.

ဖ Visit a Fair - This year's trip to the Virginia State Fair consisted of an $8 plate of spaghetti & 2 meatballs and an overpriced handful of candy.

ဖ Halloween - WOW. Hands down the best holiday I had all year. In my experience, big events and holidays are one of the most stressful times for me because that's when everyone decided to get shitty but this time it was my turn. Kidding, but in all seriousness, the memories made with friends and family were definitely
a highlight of the month.

ဖ Road trip/ Nature Walk / Breathe Deep / Scenic Drive / Take a long walk - Shrine Mont. After 2 years, I made it to Shrine Mont to hike up North Mountain again. In my opinion, it's the perfect hike, lasting about 1.5 hours to hike to the top with a steady incline the first half & absolute death the other. This time around, I brought my insignificant other with me. Little did we know that we would both forget the water in the car. To be honest, the only reason I knew she was alive was because I could hear heavy breathing behind me as we made our way up.

ဖ Camping - While I didn't have the opportunity to go camping in the traditional sense, I constructed a tent in the comfort of home, filling the once empty space with pillows and blankets galore.

ဖHot Apple Cider - this shit does not mix well with alcohol
ဖ Snuggle suffocate Under Blankets
ဖ Fall Scented Candle
ဖ Movie Night

ဖ All in all, October filled my heart and emptied my wallet. And being that it's already a week into November as I'm writing this, I need to start holding myself accountable for this updates. But there's always next month!
