Gotta Blast!

Next Stop: Scottsdale, Arizona; to pursue the millennial's dream of booking a 1-way and somehow not running out of money, not being robbed, not starving on the street, and finding success.

 ဖ But in all seriousness, I am so excited that I have this opportunity.

 ဖ This past weekend I was absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of love & support from my friends who surprised me with a goodbye dinner at my favorite restaurant the Daily. Since then I've been crying in every public and private place: the restaurant, the club, my car, the community trash pickup, my parents couch, my parents kitchen, etc. I am so incredibly thankful for my best friends who made it happen by planning around my OCD ways (& the fact I was inviting people last minute to what I thought was supposed to be a dinner of 3). I truly am the luckiest person out there to have such wonderful people in my life.

ဖ Despite my outgoing personality, inability to listen to anyone's advice until I come to the realization on my own, refusal to conform, cheap ass habits, and love for travel, I have  never taken a step  like this and sometimes find myself doubting my decision based on the fear that I will fail. But lets face it, this past year has been a fat L in many ways & yet my greatest success. I often forget to embrace my failures & see them for what they are: lessons. Throughout the moments of anxiety, stress, tears, worries, there have been so many MORE moments filled with happiness, laughter, friends, loved ones, men, wings, and wing women than I could have hoped for.
ဖ So with the best possible weekend having occurred, I am ready to find out what Arizona is all about. If you want to know how it goes plz share & follow!

Where Has the Time Gone?

It has been some time, 7 months to be exact, that I have written. Even though my plans to keep up with this blog and my travel one have been unsuccessful thus far, I still like to write when I remember.  For about 6 months, I have been abroad: first traveling Europe with my parents for 2 weeks and then to Madrid where I began my studies for a Masters in Business Protocol, Tourism, and Events Management. Since my time in Spain, I have traveled to new countries in cities in Europe, made amazing friendships, and created some unforgettable memories. Now being over halfway through, the world has come to a halt as the Coronavirus has emerged and spread. What is most amazing about this new disease though is not the people who become sick but the way people have become affected and respond to the notion of the sickness existing. Falling In Love

For a long time, I've always pictured myself falling in love. Being filled with that over powering, heart bursting, love for someone else; and throughout my love life, there have been times where my heart was full with emotion but when it came to the love I held for myself, that feeling was no where to be found. ဖ As of recent, I've been thinking extensively about different aspects of my life - the friends and family I have, the quality of those relationships, what stage of life I'm in, whether I'm happy, etc. And eventually this train of thought brought me to the most important topic/question yet: Self Love.
